The Boat
The Nan-Sea is a 40 foot commercial pontoon boat rated for 29 passengers and Captain and crew. It is powered by two 75 HP four-stroke Honda outboard engines and has an enclosed restroom facility and comfortable seating. The Nan-Sea is custom built to be perfect for nature viewing and photography.
Meet the Crew
Keith and Diane Logan
Logan River Tours is a family owned & operated business. Keith & Diane Logan have over 35 years of experience in the tour and charter business. Providing hands on personal service to their customers with a little down home old world Florida charm.
Cap't Chuck
Our senior captain, holds a 100 ton Master Captain License. Chuck has over thirty-five years of boating experience, Fifteen of which is in the charter tour business. His friendly personality is larger than life.
Captain Clint
A Florida native that served with the U.S. Coast Guard and holds a 100 ton Master's License. Captain Clint lives on the Myakka River and is quite knowledgeable about the safe navigation of the river.
Captain Chuck
Cap't Chuck holds a 50 Ton Master License and has been with Logan River Tours since its opening in 2013. Chucks vast boating experience spans over 40 years. As a Charter Captain with the Logan Family, Chuck would give tours, sailing guests to southern ports on Lake Michigan. While providing instruction along the way.
Today he feels right at home with lots of knowledge of the Myakka River and its tributaries.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q - Will we see alligators? Or Killer Turtles?
A - Maybe. Alligators have their own schedule, but we keep a sharp lookout for them. The turtles we see are usually cooters and sometimes soft shell turtles.
Q - Is the tour appropriate for small children?
A - The one-hour tour is a narrated tour designed for adults and school age children. We talk about the history of Florida, the trees, animals and other things in the area. Very small children, ages 1 through 5, may not be entertained by the tour.
Q - Does the tour boat operate in the rain?
A - The boat operates in most weather conditions. We may cancel on rainy or cold days. Please call us to confirm tours on inclement days.
Q - Can I bring a cooler?
A - We don't encourage passengers to bring their own food or drink but you can always purchase a drink & food at Snook Haven's Restaurant to enjoy on the tour.
